Question how do you make the bootable CD from the iso file downloaded from the internet?

I downloaded the three Red Hat 9 iso files from the internet. I am trying to do a dual boot install with Win 98SE. My CD-R/W is on my Mac G4 so I tried to burn the CD using Disk Copy on Operating System 10. I don't know whether to just copy the iso file for the first CD straight onto the CD, or whether I need to try to mount it some way?
I can't get the CD to boot or install on the PC with either the plain shrikeDisc1.iso file copied, or by having extracted the individual files from the iso file and burning them onto the CD.
What might I be doing wrong? Thanks

just burn from image(don't dump it on the list like a simple file, no way )
it is always something like create cd from image, and then select the iso

if your burning soft doesn't support it download one that does .
on windows nero,...
on unix cdrecord,xcdroast....
