Well, you're doing better than I... I am fighting the same problem on a Penguin box, but I don't seem to be able to successfully install the kernel source nor find the kernel development package. I installed the package kernel-2.6.18-8.el5.src.rpm, and tried to buffalo the NVIDIA-Linux-x86-1.0-9631-pkg1.run script by renaming the directory /usr/src/redhat/SOURCES/linux-2.6.18 to /usr/src/redhat/SOURCES/linux and then pointed the source path to /usr/src/redhat/SOURCES... my problem though is that the file linux.h that should live under /usr/src/redhat/SOURCES/linux/include/linux doesn't exist. Where did you get your source and how did you successfully install? I'm guessing that if your install is correct (linux.h exists) you should be able to point to /usr/src/redhat/SOURCES your compile might work.
