how can i remove the program in the main menu?


i try to uninstall some package, like mozilla, but after i remove it, its icon still in there...how can i remove it?

and i want to install mozilla 1.5.. but it said some file is needed.....how can i solve it?
but those file i seems install already before...

If you're using KDE, use the menu editor which will be under "preferences" or "settings".

You haven't given very much information. How did you delete the older mozilla? What distribution are you using? What file is needed?

RH 9.......

i remove it by add/remove application.......

Did you get rid of your icon? I guess if you're going to reinstall mozilla anyway, we can forget about it.

"add/remove application" is in some sort of graphical tool, I take it?
Read up on rpm (man rpm) or the online rpm book.
You can find a lot of the files you need at the rpm repository.

lol..sorry coz i was so sleepy when i typing this

i try to use rpm -e mozilla-1.2.1 , but the icon stll remain here...

Yeah, but so what? You want to reinstall mozilla anyway.

What file does it say it needs? Did you try to look for it at the rpm repository or at your distros web site?
