Unhappy Help me out on memory leak in Red Hat Advanced Server 2.1

I've an IBM x255 server on which i've installed red hat adv. server 2.1
when i give the 'top' command, i see the free memory keeps on reducing. the more i load applications the more it reduces n ultimately it uses the swap.
if users face problem in logging in, i simply restart the server. that does cure the login problem but the memory keeps on reducing.
of what use the server is if i need to restart it every other day.
does any body know the soln. for it?
thanks in advance.

i read that thread n thanks a lot for that.
so does it mean that it happens in linux? but what about the restarting issue.
as soon as i restart the server people are able to login to it but before restarting they were not able to.
one of the reply posted on that thread says that
"if you look under
top
you'll probably see that the ram is used as "cached"
that's drive cache and it's good. it will be released
if a program needs it."
going by this, users should not face any problem logging in even if the memory is very low. but that does not happen.
