help for a newbie on redhat 8 boot disk creation
I am sorry if this question has been posted other times, but I made a short search and I didn't find anything on the subject.
I have a Red Hat 8.0 release, found in a book "Linux for dummies" and I want to install it, but I am stuck at the very first stages:
Cannot boot from CDROM, so I decided to make a boot disk, but in CD1 I cannot find the /images folder or the boot.img file.
The content of CD1 is:
isolinux (folder)
redhat (folder)
some readme and release notes in different languages
CD2 is the only other disk but it doesn't contain the mentioned files.
Inside isolinux, the only .img file is the initrd.img file. Is this the image to make the boot disk?
Is the boot.img file available for download in internet?
thank you for any help
regards
Niccolò
