have problem with package manager

after I installed RHEL 5 on Dell PE 1950, I found it didn't install the dhcp server, so I open Package Manager and search for dhcp, it only showed some installed rpms such as dhclient, dhcdbd, usually it should be show the missing package. Although I can copy the dhcp rpm from cd or download from website, I wonder what is wrong with the Package Manager? Welcome any hints and replys.

Did you register with Red Hat? The package manager will not work with the official repositories if you have not registered. You can find other repositories for RHEL 5, such as freshrpms or the fedora repositories. Another, better option, would be to use CentOS 5, which is just RHEL 5 with the proprietary trademark stuff of Red Hat removed. It claims to be 100% binary compatible with RHEL 5, and has free repository support.
