Have anyone experimented problems compiling programs in rh9?
Have the rh9 any issues compiling apps?

Recently i instaled an app to accelerate my downloads called "downloader for X" ( ) and i compiled the .tar.gz and i get a functional app without any error message but with corrupted images and some strange behavior. In the webpage the autor comented that for the rh9 users can't compile de app, it gets corrupted. And he gave an rpm to instal it.

The next was the tk 8.4 library ( i needed it to use tkabber ...). Once compiled i launched the test suitte that comes with it. A lot of tests failed totally and the testing get hanged after 20 minutes.

Please tell me if you have been encountering problems like this or if you have the key to the problem tell it to me soo :).

I haven't encountered any problems like that, in fact, I've compiled d4x with no problems (but I may have been using a RH 9 beta at the time, I don't remember.)
As for the tk library, I don't know why that wouldn't compile, but maybe you could try using an RPM?

Red Hat 9 for about 6 trouble compiling any GNU programs. All went smoothly and installed correctly. Might be something in the configuration process?
