free latest distro download


hi,

i used red hat for only a very very short period of time but i liked it it was stable and much better than the windows i was use to. but i moved off it and back to windows because i found it much easyer to use but now i am back with linux and ditching windows for good and i want to know if there is a still a free distro of red hat i have been to the download bit on the website and can only find a fedora free download and the redhat there is a $80 charge do they still provide a free distro of red hat and if so what is the link. thanks for helpin in advance.

centos.org is essentially redhat for free. if you don't want to pay for a redhat subscription then you'll be disadvantaged by actually using redhat instead of centos, as you won't get updates and such like.

There is also Fedora (fedoraproject.org), which is sort-of Red Hat's home version.

I like both CentOS and Fedora, but have recently had problems installing CentOS, so I'd stick with Fedora if I were you.

thanks can anyone fine me a UK link i bin lookin everyware and i just carnt find a one i looked on the fidora sites and the have links to mirror sites but i carnt seem to find wht i want. thanks in advance

just check our download site, there's a UK link for fedora 7 and centos 5 first in the list for each.
