fc2 postfix/pop mailserver slow login

Howdy ya all.

i have a FC2 up and running. it's a test mail server
it runs postfix for smtp.
pop3 and imap for getting the mail to the users.
the server is located on a local intranet, and has a normal 100mbit connection.

it's all working, but the problem is that,
when getting the mail delivered to the users
it takes ages..

first time it toke 8sec's te authenticate. second time just 1/2 a second!
5 min later it was up to 7 again..
and when connecting through webmail it takes even more..

i tried several timeout settings in the postfix conf but no good.
anny sugestions, it's just a standard setup from fedora.

please i need some help, coz it's making me crazy.
is there a way to get more debug info orso from postfix?

Thx,

Collen
