Lightbulb extend a logical voule with ext3 filesystem

Hi,

I use RH 2.1 Entreprise edition (kernel 2.4.9-e3) and i need to extend a logical volume with 300G. The filesystem on the logica lvolume is ext3 while resize2fs only speaks about ext2.

Is this the right procedure or is this only valid for ext2

1. unmount filesystem concerned
2. lvextend -L +300G /dev/vg01/lvol1
3. resize2fs /dev/vg01/lvol1
4. mount filesystem concerned

best regards, Johan
