Because I followed the instructions in thread 91814 and the full instructions from Broadcom and neither will install the drivers. I put in "rpm -ivh bcm440002.0.5.src.rpm" and it installed. It next said to "cd /usr/src redhat/SPEC" and receive a nice notice "NO SUCH FILE'. Neither instrustions after the first rpm -ivh , give anything but notice of NO SUCH FILE. Life is just to short at my age to screw with RedHat since it doesn't have a very common nic driver. Both Suse 8.2 and Mandrake 9.1 have the driver included and work perfect. So why fight trying to use RedHat? I mean Broadcom 4401 Nic has been around 8/02 and used on millions of MOBO, why won't RedHat port the drivers? Is this a money reason?
