zw69 LQ Newbie Registered: Apr 2004 Posts: 4 Rep:	ess modem es1983s Maestro-3i PCI driver? I just shift my laptop(HP n3834) to linux from the Winme, but seems the modem gave me much trouble, the winmodem doesn't work under autodetection. I try to find a driver in web, anybody could tell me which driver could run the ess winmodem(es1983s Maestro-3i)? the sound card works automatically. I ran the pctel cm8738 modem in my desktop under redhat, so I hope I could find a way to surf the internet in my laptop too. I used mepis(kern 2.4.22) in laptop. Thanks!
