End of Life - What does it mean for me?

I lease a RH7.3 server, I use the RHN service (for up2date), and I'm wondering what to do about the end of life that's coming up.

Is there anything available which will replace up2date completely? I.e. an application you can run without know what you want to install, and it will go off and find all the critical updates for your system?

I've installed apt-get, but as far as I can tell, that is just a system for getting specific packages.. is that correct, or can it do what up2date does?

Does end of life mean anything else?

Thanks for any info., advice.

James

PS, Why are managed hosting provider like ev1servers.net continuing to provide RH7.3/9 servers when those products are coming up to end of life?

I can't remember how, because it's been a while since I used Debian, but apt can certainly update all of the packages on your system in one fell swoop. Only problem is that I think that it will only update ones it installed itself, so unless you've installed everything through apt...
