Does Redhat 9 support dual CPUs?
Hi,
I am thinking of getting a server. I've heard that Redhat 9 doesn't support Dual CPUs and I have to get Redhat Enterprise to do that. Is this true? I am thinking of getting a server with Dual Xeon. Thanks, |
hi there
it is not that redhat does not support dual processors u need to use the kernel with smp support for dual CPU and redhat 9.0 comes with that package so when u install redhat 9.0 u can also specify to istall that package after going into "individual package selection" and selecting kernel-smp package to install regards |
Oh OK.
Thank you very much. |
