Desperate
I need to find an Intel 537 modem driver for Linux, and step by step info on how to intall, setup or whatever the driver. And i have juno dial-up isp and i do not beleive that they support linux. Is there a program that simulates windows on linux so that i can run juno on linux.....
Please keep in mind that i am a complete noob to linux. ***Thanks in advance*** |
Intel make a driver for their Intel 536EP modem and I'm almost certain they make one for the 537 model as well. Their website has the driver (Support->Drivers->Intel 537->Download->Linux or something like that). The 536EP driver works well apart from there being no port for the 2.6 kernel and so far no signs of a port in development.

I'm not aware of Juno specifically - however - many ISP's don't officially support Linux re: technical queries etc etc, but that doesn't stop you connecting through them with a typical Linux box. |

I think so. I am not 100% sure however it's a good quote in any event. I believe this was at the time when the 640k limit on conventional memory was put in place in DOS.
