Dependency problem with Yum update
I have a peculiar problem. It makes no sense to me, and I'd appreciate some ideas on how to investigate what's going on.
I have RedHat EL 5 and when I run yum update, it goes and gets the headers for 30 or so packages, then shows the following:
--> Running transaction check
--> Processing Dependency: xen-libs = 3.0.3-25.el5 for package: xen
--> Finished Dependency Resolution
Error: Missing Dependency: xen-libs = 3.0.3-25.el5 is needed by package xen
So, these are the versions of xen and xen-libs installed:
[root]# rpm -q xen-libs
xen-libs-3.0.3-25.el5
[root]# rpm -q xen
xen-3.0.3-25.el5
It looks to me that yum is complaining that something exists, not that something is missing...
Now, I have changed the up2date config to point it at our Redhat Network Proxy server... that's not a problem, is it?
