crash after kernel upgrade, ext2 at fault?
 

I recently updated my kernel as RH emailed & said up2date would no longer support 7.2 after Jan 1.
I upgraded from 2.4.9-34smp to 2.4.20-27.7smp via up2date. Everything seemed to be working fine, until tonight when it crashed. After rebooting my server which is co-located production web server (not a good thing).
I check the message log and found this before the crash.
kernel: raid5: multiple 0 requests for sector 2504776
I'm not sure what caused this my guess is it has to do with ext2 and I'm looking to someone more experienced for assistance.
Why I think it is the ext2 file system is my email server is basically the same but uses ext3 and I've had no problems with it after update kernel.
Is converting my file system the solution?
I've read posts about doing this with TUNE2FS.
Can I use this with software raid?
I've rebooted my server with the old kernel and keeping my fingers crossed. Please advise
