"cp -p" fails with "cp: setting permissions for `/home/svbld/t': Invalid argument"

Please help with the following error that I am experiencing on Redhat 3. Redhat 4 works fine.

When I am using "cp -p t1 t" command I get the following error:

cp: setting permissions for `/home/svbld/t': Invalid argument

cp command without any arguments works fine.

This only happens on the ZFS file system.

Any input would be greatly appreciated.

thanks

Mike

Please paste the relevant output of "ls -l /home/ | grep svbld" and "ls -l t".

Phillip
