Couldn't find package synaptic
 
Howdy All!

As an alternative to up2date, I am trying apt and synaptic. I followed the instructions here:
http://freshrpms.net/apt/

Here is the result of my install process

root - /home/robertmarkbram/apt
$apt-get update && apt-get install synaptic

E: Couldn't find package synaptic

Does this mean it failed a network lookup?
Any clues would be much appreciated!
