could not able change resolution in vmware installed linux enterprise os


hi... this is gash here and my very first visit to this place.. hope to continue with you all...

i install Linux enterprise to windows 7 host vm 7 pc. its successfully installed. but i'm having problem to change the resolution its having only 2 option either
640 X 480 & 800 X 600
but m using my windows 7 in rate of 1280 x 1024

i want to change as like 7. please help me

Hello,

Did you install vmware tool? To get full resolution and better I/O performance vmware tool it required. it provides drivers to vmware emulated hardware.

here is what you need to do

Code:
#system-config-display
on the tabs you will see an option hardware or monitor(I am not very sure) where by default vmware is unable to recognize the screen. So manually select TFT screen or CRT which ever you are using and then you will get different options of resolution as per your choice

HI deep27ak i tried your option ya you are right it recognize as CRT but mine is LCD, when i choose LCD option OK button not enable to give the command.

i attached the msg.

Inside the CRT and LCD option you should get the resolution size when you click the arrow.
