Confiuring a Sun Type 6 USB Keyboard on RHEL4

Migrating from RH7.3 to RHEL4 on ~2500 computers.

I successfully mapped the special lefthand keys of the Type 6 Sun USB Keyboard on RH7.3 using Xmodmap files in /etc/X11/Xmodmap

However, RHEL4 seems to have a different method of mapping keys.

I need these maps mainly to work in XView (Openwindows).

The lefthand keys are:
Stop Again
Props Undo
Front Copy
Open Paste
Find Cut

I tried creating a /lib/kbd/keymap/i386/qwerty/sun_us.map

Ijust tried to map the "Copy" key to ALT-C (X Copy)
keycode 133 = Alt_c

The keycode was captured using showkey.

Anyway, has anyone tried to map this keyboard on RHEL4?

Have you had any luck with this? I'm also wanting RHEL3 linux boxes with Sun Type 6 USB Keyboards to use all they keys in the same fashion as a Sun, as some of the time the users will be ssh'ed into a Sun, running apps they previously used on Suns.

Configure Sun type 6 on rhel3

Clyde,
I am also looking to use the left-keypad keys on rhel3U8. I've modified the XF86Config file to indicate "input device"
"Input Device"
Identifier "Keyboard0"
Driver "keyboard"
Option "XkbRules" "xfree86"
Option "XkbModel" "sun_type6_usb"
Option "XkbLayout" "us(sun_type6_usb)"
Option "XkbSymbols" "us(sun_type6_usb)"
EndSection

This seems to recognize the keys if you run xev window.. but the function itself doesn't work.

Any help is GREATLY appreciated.
