compare RHEL 4.1 and RHEL 4.3
 

Hi everybody,
I want to what is different between RHEL 4.1 and RHEL 4.3 (something like do they differ in the kernel or what? Are there any new features added?). I have surfed the web and i dont seem to find anything. Can anyone help me?

Ofcourse RHEL 4.1 and 4.3 differ in kernel. RHEL 4.1 uses kernel-2.6.9-11.EL.i686.rpm whereas RHEL4.3 uses kernel-2.6.9-34.EL.i686.rpm and then you can find some RPM's updated from 4.1 to 4.3

The major difference between RHEL 3 and RHEL 4 is journaling.
A journaling (or journalling) file system is a file system that logs changes to a journal (usually a circular log in a specially-allocated area) before actually writing them to the main file system.

1. Go to http://www.google.com
2. Enter Linux Kernel Description in the box
3. Press ENTER
4. Read the links that come up

There are even books...like "Understanding the Linux Kernel", that you can buy.
