Change from DHCP to Static IP?

I known how to do this with debian, I just edit the /etc/network/interfaces file.

Do I do the same thing RHEL?

I think, that to have reliable port forwarding, I need a static IP.

Look at the ifcfg-<device> files.

/etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/ifcfg-eth0

You may be able to do the same thing through it's gui config program.
