Change default video driver - RHEL6 ?

Hi,

I'd like to replace default Matrox video card "mga" driver with newest one supplied by Matrox.
I installed new driver with no problem(*.so file in place), but not sure how to replace mga driver(uninstalling doesn't help). xorg.conf was removed in RHEL6 - so how do I replace default video driver ?

I don't have gnome installed, only X core files.
Maybe I have to recreate xorg.conf - if yes how ?

thanks
Vilius

no it wasn't it is just not used by default
it you write one then rhel6 WILL use it

but you might have to have the correct kernel mod installed for the kernel to use the driver

have you by chance done a search on the red hat knowlagebase for " Matrox "
https://access.redhat.com/knowledge/search
you ARE paying red hat for the required support contract
why not use it seeing as you are paying for it
and from that search
the rhel6.1 release notes
https://access.redhat.com/knowledge/...otes-en-US.pdf
