centos iso download install q

Friends,

I am wishing to download the 5.8 centOS 5.8 64 bit iso.
In the past i have used the 7 cd set - but this time I wish to do the dvd.
I am puzzled by the following: the iso is in 2 parts
1of 2 , 2of 2.
my Q is can i make a dvd of the 1 of 2 and use that dvd for the install?
what is the 2 of 2 ( 60n MB ) for?
maybe i do not get out much -- but an iso that is multiPart confuses me.
and if you are wondering why 5.8 not the newest .... well I am replacing a webserver that is/was 5.8 so -- i am going for sameNess. mostly the php vers.

thanks

http://wiki.centos.org/Manuals/ReleaseNotes/CentOS5.8 says "As of CentOS 5.7 the installation kit is split into two DVDs. (..) Installs not requiring the additional OOo language packs should run using only DVD#1."
