CentOS 5 - Uninstalling Kaboodle

I'm running an up-to-date version of CentOS 5 and would like to uninstall Kaboodle which is one of the automatically installed packages.

I looked under "Installed" packages under yumex but can't find it. I searched and looked under Package Manager but it looks like I would have to uninstall the entire kdemultimedia mass.

If that's the case, could someone tell me how to keep it from automatically launching when I insert a disk?

Thanks for the help.

I don't run CentOS, but I think this is a KDE issue, not distro-specific.

Try this.
  • Open the KDE "Control Center" application (maybe Start -> System -> Configuration -> Control_Center)
  • Click Periphierals -> "Storage Media"
  • Select the "Advanced" tab
  • Click to remove the 'x' from "Enable medium applications autostart after mount"
  • Click "Apply"

BTW, I think this just creates or edits the file ~/.kde/share/config/mediamanagerrc:
Code:

[Global]
AutostartEnabled=false
