CentOS 5 support for Hauppauge TV-PVR 500 Video Capture Card
Can anyone tell me if the current kernel for CentOS 5 supports the Hauppauge TV-PVR 500 Video Capture Card? In the past, when I put it in, the machine would lock up right at the start of the installation but that was a few kernels ago.
I saw where Debian Etch added ivtv support into their kernel and the Hauppauge didn't cause any problems during the installation so I was wondering if it was included in the basic kernel now. I did a Google and found a case where someone went to ATRPM and got a modified kernel but I have no clue how I would swap it in and I don't want to ruin my current installation. Thanks for the help. |
i installed a pvr-150 using ivtv on the latest standard centos kernel. I did have to temporarily enable the atrpms testing repo to install mythtv but nothing required in the kernel. I have been very happy ever since
