CentOS 5 64bit - openldap - missing back_bdb.so

I know this is a redhat forum, but it should be close enough.

So I installed the following via yum...

openldap-clients
openldap-servers
openldap-devel
nss-ldap
openldap

I started to do my configuration, but when I tested my slapd.conf file I get this.

slaptest -v -f /etc/openldap/slapd.conf
1t_dloopennext failed: (back_bdb) back_bdb.so: cannont open shared object file: no such file or directory.

From my understanding , openldap-servers should have contained the file back_bdb.so so I can get this working, even looking for others like back_hdb.so returned no results.

I can see in the logs that openldap-servers installed. I even removed and reinstalled to be sure.

Things look good, except that I'm missing this one key part.

Can someone tell me if I'm missing something? Or if I need to install something some other way.... from source is my next bet.

Thanks,

Are you sure? Check

yum whatprovides back_bdp.so

I'll check a CentOS box later with the same packages installed to see if I have the file installed

I guess I was misinformed on that one, no dice, that is not provided by anything....

So I guess my next question is to figure out what needs to be installed for it.

Thanks,

Hello Neo :-) <<perty neat writing that>>

Did you ever have any luck finding and installing this module??
I'm stuck with a very similar openldap problem, and google comes up with very little on the subject.

If I can't get help here, the only thing I can think to do is remove my source install from openldap.org and try to get a specific slackware openldap package and hope for the best.

Please write if you can spare a few minutes.
Thanks for reading.
