I started to do my configuration, but when I tested my slapd.conf file I get this.
slaptest -v -f /etc/openldap/slapd.conf
1t_dloopennext failed: (back_bdb) back_bdb.so: cannont open shared object file: no such file or directory.
From my understanding , openldap-servers should have contained the file back_bdb.so so I can get this working, even looking for others like back_hdb.so returned no results.
I can see in the logs that openldap-servers installed. I even removed and reinstalled to be sure.
Things look good, except that I'm missing this one key part.
Can someone tell me if I'm missing something? Or if I need to install something some other way.... from source is my next bet.
Thanks,

Did you ever have any luck finding and installing this module??
I'm stuck with a very similar openldap problem, and google comes up with very little on the subject.
If I can't get help here, the only thing I can think to do is remove my source install from openldap.org and try to get a specific slackware openldap package and hope for the best.
Please write if you can spare a few minutes.
Thanks for reading.
