cd player won't play, used to.

I used to be able to put in a cd & it would automatically start playing. Now I have to click on the little cd symbol which then changes to a music note looking thingy & push play, then it will only do one song at a time. I've been thru the tools, in fact I think it quit after I looked thru them but I don't think I did anything. Any ideas? thanks

What program are you using and have you changed any options for it? Maybe disabled automounting, etc?

I'm using the default cd player in Redhat9 whatever that is. I havn't disable automount that i know of, in fact don't know how to. It used to automount & it would flash time briefly like it was going to play but then stop. It started in redhat 8 so when 9 came out I did a complete install but still have the same problem.
