Cannot install RH9 for my Dell Dimension 4600?

Hi Experts:
I'm a newbie for Linux and really need some helps for my new Dell Dimension 4600.
I tried to add the RH9 to my system for dual boot with WinXP. The WinXP works fine so far, but when I installed RH9 and it shows that "No hard drives have been found. you probably need to manually choose device drivers for ......" and the next page show the "Intel EtherExpress/100 driver (e100) have been found on my system" and I press "Done" to continued installaion. Then it shows my VESA driver was using the "generic" one and then monitor becomes black shows "Cannot Display this Viedo Mode".
So I decided to use text mode for the installation, it shows the same problem about hte "drivers" one first and go through until the "disk partition setup" and no matter I chose Autopartition or Disk Durid, it will show "No Drives Found -- no vaild devices were found on which to create new file system..." and reboot.

And ideal how could I solve these issues! Very appreciate any suggestions.
Thanks,

You can install RHL 9.0 in expert mode by typing "linux expert" when the installation program has started. It will then prompt you for a driver disk, you will most likely find all the drivers you need ondells website. This manual may help you.

Thanks, But it doesn't help to solve the "cannot find out hard driver issue"!
And I found some threads in the Hardware part show that my problem may related to the "Intel 82801EB Ultra ATA Storage Controllers" bugs!

Any suggestion is welcome and appreciate!

Doesn't look good for you! I've searched Dells website there are no patches or fixes for Linux. Intel, Dell and Microsoft all drink from the same cup, Intel continuously change their products in colusion with Microsoft and the lap dog Dell just follows suit. Sell your Dell rubbish and build you own system.

RH and Dell Dimension 4600

Chiuyya,
I'm trying to load RH8.0 on a Dell Dimension 4600 similar tho not identical to yours. My WDC ATA hard drive is found but then the boot hangs at the point where it should be listing the sectors. Do you know of problems with the Ultra ATA, as opposed to the SATA? It seems that most of the discussion has been regarding SATA problems. Has anyone successfully loaded RH8.0 or 9.0 on a recent Dimension 4600?
