Can't get Xen to work in RHEL5

We just installed an evaluation version of RHEL 5 in order to test Xen virtualization. We are currently booted into the Xen kernel.

When I try to execute "yum install xen", I get a message "No Match for argument:xen".

I have tried running the virt-install package but I keep getting an error regarding libvirt.

I need to get Xen running this week. Any help will be appreciated.

Xen in RHEL 5

It's a bit opaque, I must admit. If you want to get something up immediately, download the xensource xen express cd and it contains a very handy install from vendor media option that will consume RHEL 5 CDs and do the right thing. Alternatively I think it can consume from a network repo.

XenRocks,
I contacted Red Hat and learned that I have to go through RHN to subscribe to the Virtualization channel. Once that was completed, I had to install a group called Virtualization (yum groupinstall virtualization). This installed all the packages I needed to get Xen running.

Thanks for your comments.

Hi trekr200,

Re-install your system with Red Hat Enterprise Linux (Server including virtualization):
