By mistake i upgraded /installed 3rd party packages on RHEL

Hi ., My colleague who is a new to linux ,By mistake upgraded/installed 3rd party packages on RHEL., How do i install/update/replace same supported version .

I tried to use rpm -U or --replacepkgs or

throws me error
file <file from 3rdparty> from install of <3rdparty > conflicts with file from package <rhel version >

If i use --force ., it replaces my config file.

I tried using --replacefiles ., it is not saving config file to .rpmsave
