You will have to edit your grub.conf file. Located somewhere below /boot directory
In this file you will have to edit the mandrake section to reflect the correct drive to find mandrake.

Your error output says that Grub tries to look for Mandrake on /dev/hdb (rootnoverify(hd1,0))
The line with that command in grub.conf would have to be set to rootnoverify(hd2,0)

If you don't get it working please post the content of your grub.conf file (could also be named menu.lst)

Hi -ugge

just wanted to get back to you with an update .

When i edit Grub.conf , this is the Error Back .

Booting 'Mandrake'
rootnoverify (hd2,0)
chainloader +1

and then Nothing ........... machine just Hangs !

so i SCrapped RedHats9 Crappie Boot Loader .
What a Waist of time ...... for just a Boot Loader .

i went Back to an Old outside source boot Loader (XOSL)
which i still had on the Win98 hard Drive .......
This is an OUTSTanding Boot Loader .... Works first
time every time.

Now i have everything working GREAT !
can Boot HardDisc1 = REdHat9
HardDisc2 = Mandrake 10.0
HardDisc3 = Win98
thanks for your Time .........this is a Great Forum

Oh, I missed that you had windows 98.
Windows 98 requires to be the first primary partition on the first hard disk, which isnät the case in your setup, so you will have to add some options to hide the other hard disks and partitions so that win98 are fooled.

This is probably done automatically with XOSL.
Another great boot loader to try is: http://btmgr.webframe.org/
