boot failed: please change disks and press a key to continue

i'm trying to install RH9 to one of my old computers, but it won't let me boot from the CD,

ok, i first tried it by changing the boot order, from HDD to CD, nothing, just straight into DOS
so i guess that it's because it's an old computer, i made a boot floppy using rawrite and tried it and i got :

"boot failed: please change disks and press a key to continue"

aha, i tried making a 2nd floppy, and it still didn't work, i've tried it in another computer (slightly older, and once i've finished burning Disk 1 again (at 4x as i read that sometimes when it's burnt too fast it can corrupt)

does anyone know what is causing this problem?

thanks,

Anthony

Try a different floppy drive. Floppys suck, and are pretty particular. If the heads are out of whack on either drive you'll have this problem. Also, try a fresh (read: brand new) floppy.
