best kernel version to download


I want to update my redhat 9 kernel but I don't know the version kernel that most very good to download.....

The latest stable will probably be best. No reason to downgrade and well, its probably wise to update to the latest for security reasons if your using the default Redhat 9 kernel.

yup, i use kernel 2.4.24, of course i haven't had any luck getting 2.6.2 to work let alone the patch to 2.6.3

OK thank you, I indeed still using the default Redhat 9 kernel and I have tried to look for The latest stable version of the Linux kernel Is 2.6.3

can I to update the default Redhat 9 kernel (2.4.20-8bigmem) to 2.6.3 and in the site kernel.org had some kinds kernel that must in download that is
F = full source, V = view patch, VI = view incremental, C = current .......... whatever that best for me to download
