automatic login centos 6.3


I have installed centos 6.3 and I would like to login automatically google throws up adding to /etc/gdm/custom.conf






but I still have to put in user password to login
Is it possible to login without any input

Disclaimer: I do not know any specifics about centos or what init it uses, but anyway..

You could have a look at mingetty, call it from /etc/inittab to enable autologin, that way you can have autologin to both console or X. You can get rid of gdm alltogether by just simply startx from your ~.profile with a little test to check runlevel. But as i said, centos may have developed into something that breaks my advice.
