Auto synchronization NTP not worked
Hello every body,
This is my first post here and I hope found answer dear you. I'm searching several time for a solution to my problem described below but in vain. Indeed, I have an NTP server (17.17.78.172). And two client NTP (One solaris x86 87.71.8.10 and the other Linux RedHat 104.26.226.10) Here information about servers: Solaris x86 (synchronized without porblem): bash-3.2# uname -a SunOS host1 5.10 Generic_147441-01 i86pc i386 i86pc bash-3.2# bash-3.2# cat /etc/release Oracle Solaris 10 8/11 s10x_u10wos_17b X86 Copyright (c) 1983, 2011, Oracle and/or its affiliates. Hello,
One more thing, even if the server (host2) can't be synchronized with server, it exchange NTP packets with NTP server: [root@redhat ~]# tcpdump -i eth0 udp port 123 or tcp port 123 tcpdump: verbose output suppressed, use -v or -vv for full protocol decode listening on eth0, link-type EN10MB (Ethernet), capture size 65535 bytes 15:10:45.305624 IP host2.ntp > 17.17.78.172.ntp: NTPv4, Client, length 48 15:10:45.311976 IP 17.17.78.172.ntp > host2.ntp: NTPv3, Server, length 48 15:11:49.337639 IP host2.ntp > 17.17.78.172.ntp: NTPv4, Client, length 48 15:11:49.343714 IP 17.17.78.172.ntp > host2.ntp: NTPv3, Server, length 48 15:12:53.337563 IP host2.ntp > 17.17.78.172.ntp: NTPv4, Client, length 48 15:12:53.343801 IP 17.17.78.172.ntp > host2.ntp: NTPv3, Server, length 48 ^C 6 packets captured 6 packets received by filter 0 packets dropped by kernel [root@redhat ~]# [root@redhat ~]# ntpq -p remote refid st t when poll reach delay offset jitter ============================================================================== 17.17.78.172 .LOCL. 1 u 12 64 377 6.267 13.068 6.781 [root@redhat ~]# Best Regards, |
