'ulimit' is a BASH builtin command. 'man bash' and search for "ulimit" shows "ulimit -c [value]". Sudo allows a permitted user to execute a command as the superuser or another user, as specified in the sudoers file. Once you configured /etc/sudoers (use 'visudo' as root) the unprivileged user should be able to run 'sudo -l' to show the command is available and 'sudo ulimit -c [value]' to make it work in the current shell session.
* Be aware that allowing any user unrestricted access to commands run by root holds a risk that Sudo itself can not protect against.
* Also be aware that allowing any user to create core files of any size may result in a local DoS if core files fill up free space.
If you enable core files for debugging purposes please ensure you have exhausted all other options before.
