Anyone used this Red Hat Distro (Pie Box)?

I am always weary of distributions that don't come from an official site or someone I know and trust. I have some friends who have ordered Linux distro's from other mirror/distro sites and not knowing enough, eventually found that there was spyware built into the distro.

I saw this and it looked legit but I'm probably not going to try it mainly because I don't know that much about security yet to be able to protect myself (yes I'm a bit paranoid sometimes. LOL!).

I was curious though if anyone has ever heard of or dealt with them, are they on the up and up? From what I understand they are distributing Red Hat Enterprise Linux AS. http://www.piebox.org

If anyone has dealt with them, had good or bad experiences please let me know. Or let me know I'm being too paranoid about distro's and shouldn't worry too much about malware/spyware?

Have never heard of Piebox, so I can't offer any opinion on that. However I have used Centos, got the disk with my LinuxFormat magazine, but you can go to the website as well to learn more.

Also when I don't download the distro myself I'll use cheapbytes or Edmunds Enterprises of America (cheapbytes has better shipping prices.)

I'm also curious to know what distros your friends used that had virus's built in and where they got the disk from?
This could be useful info for others.
