Annoying RH 9 mouse-pointer bug

Everytime I start RH 9, the mouse pointer is very slow. You have to go to System Settings >
Mouse > Password root > select appropriate mouse -- to correct the motion.

Is there a fix for this? (this same problem occurred on a different computer I used RH 9 on).

You need to set the correct mouse in the X (I think). It sounds like you are inadvertently selecting the wrong mouse at installation.

OR: change to FC4. You realise that RH9 is way out of date now?
