Unhappy alternative updates for RHEL??

I have been using linux for about 4 months... still very much a newbie...though I am learning fast... I've used RedHat 9, SuSE 9, Fedora Core, FreeBSD, and Solaris 9. Most of the time I have been using RedHat 9.... I just bought the Red Hat Professional Workstation (which IS Red Hat Enterprise WS) including the 1 year of support... I installed it on my notebook first... but this isn't what I wan't to activate with up2date... Is there any alternative method for getting updates other than up2date? I checked apt-get.... and nothing for RHEL.... I used apt for RH9 and really liked the results.... Never used yum... don't really know anything about it or even where to get it... letalone if it has updates for RHEL WS.... If anyone knows an alternative update location please let me know!!!

No. Errata for Red Hat Enterprise Linux can only be fetched from Red Hat Network.
