Hi guys, here's my little story
We are using Red Hat 8 workstations to run some Java Swing application for production followup input encoding.
We are using the GDM to automatically log the reporting user in, and then launch, via user personal Xclients runfile, the java virtual machine launching our application.
Problem is, using particular dialog box refreshed by asynchronous thread, isn't working fine in that particular environment.
Running exactly the same runfile adding a twm command line makes the application run fine but users are now able to interact with the windows (by closing them for instance
).
So, my questions are:
* In wich default window manager is opening our java application, knowing that if we remove the java application run command from the xclient runfile, the xsession will die with the error message (session lived for less than 10 seconds...)
* Is that window manager missing some parameter to support the asynchronous refresh of our dialog box?
* If not, wich other window manager could we use to run the application by locking the windows Controls or even removing the windows title/toolbars
