streamtuner will not launch (Puppy 3.01)

I've returned to Puppy after a long journey through many other distros. I've installed puppy to my hard drive and installed the dotpup streamtuner/streamripper (repackaged by EdB.pup)as I did last time I used puppy.
It looks ok and appears in the multimedia menu but when I click on it, the menu vanishes as expected but nothing else happens.
Any experts out there got any ideas?

Execute the app from the command line and see what, if any, error messages it spits out. Post those.

Thanks Weibullguy,
I'm short on time to experiment at the moment but I checked the dependencies and I'm a couple missing (strange for a distro-specific package). I'll get back to you later, thanks again for your reply.
