Set archiver to always create zip files
 

I use Packit and Xarchiver.

I would like them to always default to zip files, but have found no way to set that option.

Is there a way or if necessary, another archiver that will ?

Hi Andy I use XFE it is a file manager with inbuilt ability to extract zip files etc using right-click menu.

If using Rox-Filer I rightclick on zip file, click on customize menu and drag executable for either PACKIt or Xarchiver into customize menu to symlink it and it should create right-menu entry to extract your zip files.
