running C app compiled on Fedora in Slacko
Hi all,
I am new to puppy linux. I have just downloaded latest slacko release 5.3.3 to install on a machine with limited hardware capability.

At this moment I am running the slacko in a virtual machine to get the feel of it.

I am facing a problem with running an application.
I have an application which I have compiled on a Fedora box. I tried running it on Slacko and it did not run.
This is a very basic hello world application. It just prints it on console.

so are the applications compiled on other linux boxes supported on puppy?

Will the applications compiled on Fedora 16 (32bit) version run properly on slacko?

in general it should work, so probably you need to give more details: how did you compile (which OS, compiler...), how did you try to run it and finally what was the result (error message)

Its a 64 bit fedora.. and slacko puppy is 32 bit. My bad...

I compiled the same app on 32 bit fedora and it works on puppy now.

as the ABI is same for both 32 bit machines, there isnt any problem...
