Puppy works fine.
I tried to modify grub config, but still Xp wont boot.
Any idea how?

and puppy works with the ''ro'' argument instead of the ''rw'' at sda4?

Try commenting out all the "map" lines (put a # in column 1).
That hasn't been required since Win95.

And leave the Puppy line alone - the kernel is mounted ro (for fsck amongst other reasons), and automatically switched as part of the boot process.

strange, mine doesn't work read only

Well, I should have said "normally it is ..."
Haven't tried puppy yet, but have been thinking about it - guess this will be a reason to download it and try.

Whoa - hey, I'm impressed !!!.
Have to go find a box I can install it on, but the CD is seriously good on the box I tested on - Celeron, 512Meg RAM.
Had to unload the prism2_pci module and load hostap to get the wireless working, but the distro is *GOOD* for its footprint.

I use Puppy on my duron 750 with 64M of ram :D but with a full hd install  works great. The only Linux that I succeded to install on my old pc, I tried Xubuntu, Slackware, Zenwalk and none finished setup :scratch:
