Have you looked at Toutou Linux?

gingembre 09-29-2011 03:40 AM

yes, I have, but it's absolutely not the same thing and I prefer really puppy..

Well, I've found http://murga-linux.com/puppy/viewtopic.php?t=51702 which suggests it's possible... I don't use puppy, but from what I can understand of the first post there is a "lang_pack_all" package which installs other languages, and then you need to run /usr/sbin/countrywizard to change the language.

Does this work for you?

Thanks for this info : my problem is that the "lang_pack_all" is not in my distribution ! I have to search on the web. So no news to day, perhaps tomorrow...

Sunday 2 : hello, my problem is always the same... Lang pack all is now in mnt/sda5/mnt with name +root + quickpet + downloads + lang pack a II-09-sf... And as a perfect newbie, what wuth that?I must make something with terminal ? thanks for help...

Sorry, I don't understand it when you said

You've downloaded something from the web into /mnt/sda5/mnt ?

What are the names of the files you have? Running
Code:

ls -l /mnt/sda5/mnt
will tell you, if you're unsure.

First we need to know if you are running a full or frugal install and what version of Puppy Also. 5.? wary, quirky? Also. sf looks like a typo. Are you sure it does not say .sfs on the end of lang pack a II-09-sf.

http://puppylinux.org/wikka/Squashfs

If a full install. Use

http://www.murga-linux.com/puppy/viewtopic.php?t=64354

This will work on frugal installs also, but using bootmanager is the preferred way to install .sfs in frugal puppy installs.
