Hallo,
I have a Toshiba 4070 CDT with 128 MB ram, 400 mhz PII processor, 256 MB swap and 3GB HD.
I installed Puppy 431 frugal and Win XP.
with windows it's fine, but with puppy it hangs after 30/40 minutes of use expecially when browsing.
I use firefox 2.0.0.20 with flash 10 and seamonkey 1.1.18 on puppy.

I did run memory test with memtest86.com, it passed without errors
and Hot CPU Tester to test mother board and cpu for errors, but none was found.

Is there log file in puppy that shows when and what caused the system to crash?

start with ls -ltr on /var/log. My guess is that you are doing some heavy-duty browsing and filling up memory (and swap is not working correctly).

That laptop is underpowered for 4.3.1, try another version here.

you are right puppyite, with version 4.1.2 it doesn't hang anymore.
