Puppy Forum - LogIn Chaos

Chaos is not a word I use often re-Puppy. I'm in my 70's and forgetful - perhaps - but having not used this good site for sometime I entered a wrong password, and was e-mailed a new one; instantly.
Not so with Puppy. On switching to e-mail I had a letter saying that as I'd waited 24 hours............then my e-address was registered; then my name didn't match my address.
'STOP" I hear you cry; security is everything and it is. But if you have my e-address and a name which may or may not be valid; then surely Puppy can do as you have done.
Sorry, Linux Questions is to ask questions.
My question is :- can someone 'phone up Puppy Forum and tell them that there's an old guy in New Zealand called Sarum/e-mail grandad67@slingshot....
PM to moderaters seems to need login.
!,000 thanks to those who reply

Thanks for your help to my rather confused question; I was getting very frustrated. On another forum it was suggested that I open an e-mail account with yahoo or g-mail and re-register. Easy, hours of hair pulling all sorted in 5 minutes.
Thanks again.............sarum
