Printing with HP Photosmart 2575

Hi, relatively new to Linux but a big friend of Puppy already.

Printing is a bit of a problem, though, especially since I had to go out and buy a new HP Photosmart 2575 printer. (Vista hated my old HP PSC 1100 printer and I got to hate it too...I hit it so hard in the end that the glass broke!)

Now, Vista still hates my new printer, or rather my new printer hates Vista, but at least I can do the basics.

Puppy, though, despises the Photosmart 2575 and I'm wondering if any Puppy fans out there can get me through this rough patch.

Is there a suitable driver? If so, where? I so love Puppy, but not being able to print is a bit of a negative.

(By the way, and the answer is probably NO, does anyone think it'll ever be possible to go online in Puppy using a Conexant modem?)

If I got the printing and the modem-ing right, Puppy would be the answer to everyone's problems.

Anyway, here's a newbie enjoying Puppy like no other OS has ever been enjoyed before.

Go to this website: www.openprinting.org, click on the printers button on the top of the page and input your make and model on the window that pops up. Seems like it works perfectly. Also check out the HCL on the right hand side of this page.

Cheers for that Changeling.

Found appropriate driver and printing happily.
